In an announcement dated September 16, Tinergy Chemical said it plans to inject RMB3 billion (USD447.43 million) in cash into its wholly owned subsidiary Baiyin New Materials. Upon completion, Baiyin New Materials' registered capital will rise from RMB1.58 billion (USD235.65 million) to RMB4.58 billion (USD683.08 million), with the parent company retaining 100% ownership.
Baiyin New Materials currently operates 100,000tpy of iron phosphate production capacity. To advance its industrial transformation and unlock new growth space, the company will use Baiyin New Materials to build a 600,000tpy iron phosphate lithium/iron phosphate sodium precursor (iron phosphate) project. The move is expected to strengthen its market position in the iron phosphate supply chain and open a "second growth curve" for the company's performance.
