Chongqing Capchem to expand electrolyte capacity

Chongqing Capchem New Materials Co., Ltd. plans to expand electrolyte production at its Chongqing site, with the first public notice for the environmental impact assessment of its battery chemicals phase II project recently issued.
The project is located at No. 5, Huanan 8th Branch Road, Yanjia Subdistrict, Changshou District, Chongqing. It involves an investment of RMB85.16 million (USD12.69 million) and will bring the plant's total footprint to 168 mu (about 11.2 hectares).
Upon completion, the project will add 200,000tpy of lithium-ion battery electrolyte capacity, 50,000tpy of sodium-ion battery electrolyte capacity, and 6,000tpy of ethylene carbonate capacity.
