Fenix Resources announces maiden 26.9 million tonne ore reserve at Beebyn Hub in Western Australia

Fenix Resources has declared a maiden ore reserve of 26.9 million tonnes at an average grade of 60% iron across its Beebyn Hub, part of the Weld Range hematite iron ore project in Western Australia.
The total comprises an updated reserve of 13.1 million tonnes grading 61.2% Fe at the currently operating Beebyn-W11 mine, alongside a maiden Stage 1 reserve of 13.8 million tonnes grading 58.9% Fe at the fully permitted Beebyn-W10 mine. Together, these reserves support more than five years of mine life at the current annual production rate of five million tonnes.
The Beebyn Hub consolidates the two mines within Fenix's broader Weld Range Iron Ore Project, which holds total mineral resources of 290 million tonnes. The company separately reported mineral resources of 47.7 million tonnes grading 59.0% Fe at Beebyn-W10 and 19.7 million tonnes grading 61.0% Fe at Beebyn-W11, both figures inclusive of ore reserves.
Production at Beebyn-W10 is scheduled to commence in the current quarter, with first shipment expected during the December 2026 quarter. The newly established reserve underpins Fenix's strategy to lift sustainable production from the Beebyn Hub to as much as six million tonnes per annum by the 2027-28 financial year, while the company maintains its broader ambition to reach total annual output of 10 million tonnes by 2031.
Fenix noted that the ongoing Weld Range definitive feasibility study is expected to deliver a further material increase in reserves, reinforcing the project's previously outlined production profile of 10 million tonnes per year through to 2042.
