India's NMDC reports 21% iron ore output growth in August 2026

Indian state-owned miner NMDC Limited achieved iron ore production of 4.07 million tonnes in August 2026, a 21% increase compared to the same month last year, the company announced on Wednesday, September 2.
Sales for the month reached 3.58 million tonnes, up 5.6% year-on-year.
For the April–August period of fiscal year 2026–27, cumulative iron ore output totaled 23.23 million tonnes, representing a 26% rise over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Total sales during this five-month period amounted to 18.72 million tonnes, a modest 2% increase year-on-year.
