Shengquan Keliyuan's 100ktpy rare-earth alloy project starts trial production

Inner Mongolia Shengquan Keliyuan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. recently moved its 100,000tpy multi-component rare-earth alloy project into the phased trial production stage.
With a total investment of RMB500 million (USD74.38 million) and occupying 170 mu (about 11.3 hectares) of land, the project features a well-integrated industrial support system. The plant is equipped with two 33,000kVA submerged arc furnaces, a 6 MW waste-heat power generation system, and a dedicated 110kV/10kV switching station. It also includes multiple medium-frequency induction furnaces, three crushing production lines, seven cored-wire production lines, and a full range of auxiliary utilities.
The project primarily produces rare-earth, magnesium, and calcium composite non-ferrous metal alloys, which serve as specialized graphite modifiers required for high-end castings in the foundry industry.
Since commissioning began in May 2026, the project has generated RMB171 million (USD25.44 million) in output value from its phased production. Construction is now complete, with several induction furnaces already operating steadily. The entire production line is scheduled to achieve full connectivity and begin full-scale operation by October 2026.
According to the company's long-term plan, once the project reaches full capacity, it will be capable of producing 100,000tpy of multi-component rare-earth alloys annually, generating 1 billion yuan in industrial output value, contributing RMB30 million (USD4.46 million) in tax revenue, and providing 200 stable jobs.
