Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) reported attributable iron ore production of 29.6 million metric tons (mt) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, driven by the successful ramp-up of its Onslow Iron project, which significantly strengthened the company's iron ore portfolio and underpinned record full-year financial performance.
Attributable production from Onslow Iron reached 19.7 million mt during the fiscal year. The project achieved its nameplate capacity of 35 million mt per year in August 2025, just three years after the final investment decision was made.
With the commissioning of a sixth transhipper in June and the arrival of a seventh vessel in August, Onslow Iron's installed capacity has now been increased to approximately 40 million mt per year, enhancing operational flexibility during scheduled fleet maintenance.
For the 2026–27 fiscal year, MinRes expects attributable Onslow Iron sales to range between 20.0 million and 21.7 million mt, equivalent to 35–38 million mt on a 100% basis.
Meanwhile, the Pilbara Hub contributed 9.9 million mt of iron ore in the 2025–26 fiscal year. MinRes noted that the transition from the Wonmunna mine to the nearby Lamb Creek operation is nearing completion, with first ore already processed through the existing fixed crushing plant.
The Lamb Creek development is expected to extend the Pilbara Hub's mine life and reduce unit operating costs. MinRes forecasts Pilbara Hub sales of 10–11 million mt for 2026–27.
