Sinai Manganese sets ambitious 50,000-tonne production target by 2028

Egypt's Minister of Industry, Khaled Hashem, recently conducted an inspection visit to the Sinai Manganese Company's alloy production facility in the Abu Zenima Industrial Zone, South Sinai. The visit aimed to assess the company's current operations and review its strategic expansion plans.
The plant currently boasts an annual production capacity of 18,000 tonnes, with a targeted increase to 50,000 tonnes by the end of 2028. The facility operates with a 60% local component, and approximately 49% of its output is exported to key international markets, including Turkey, Libya, and Italy.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Industry, the plant produces silicomanganese and ferromanganese alloys. It spans an area of 23,500 square metres, with total investments amounting to EGP 2.5 billion and paid-in capital of EGP 300 million.
Sinai Manganese Company is a subsidiary of the Chemical Industries Holding Company.
