India's NMDC reports 31% surge in iron ore output in July 2026

State-owned Indian miner NMDC Limited produced 4.06 million metric tonnes of iron ore in July 2026, marking a 31.39% increase compared to the same month last year, according to a company statement released on Monday, August 3.
The company reported total sales of 3.40 million metric tonnes for July 2026, slightly down from 3.46 million metric tonnes in the corresponding month of the previous year.
On a cumulative basis, iron ore production for the April–July period of fiscal 2026 reached 19.16 million metric tonnes, a 27% year-on-year increase. Sales during the same period totalled 15.15 million metric tonnes, up 1% year-on-year.
