SD Lomon announced the termination of its planned 100,000tpy lithium iron phosphate (LFP) project in Deyang, Sichuan Province. The project was initially proposed to be carried out by a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, Deyang Chuanfa Lomon, at the Xinshi Chemical Industrial Park in Mianzhu City. In a board resolution, the company cited changing market conditions as the primary reason for the decision. After a comprehensive review of implementation factors and resource optimization considerations, the board approved the discontinuation of the subsidiary establishment and the associated investment.
As the project had not yet entered substantive execution, the termination is not expected to have any adverse impact on the company's operations, nor does it harm the interests of the company or its shareholders.
