On June 18, Hunan Dazhonghe held a kiln commissioning ceremony in Linwu County for its 20,000tpy lithium carbonate production line.
The company's overall lithium battery materials project is planned for a production capacity of 80,000tpy of battery-grade lithium carbonate, to be developed in two phases. Phase I is designed for 40,000tpy of capacity, with the first 20,000tpy production line now entering trial operation.
The project addresses two persistent challenges in the lithium battery industry--high environmental pressure and elevated production costs--through proprietary technology for harmless comprehensive lithium extraction from lithium slag. The process achieves a comprehensive lithium recovery rate from lepidolite exceeding 90%, while also enabling the simultaneous recovery of high-value associated metals including potassium, rubidium, and cesium. Compared to conventional processes, the project reduces production costs by 30% to 50% and cuts lithium slag generation by nearly half.
