Zhongke Electric to abort three major lithium battery anode material projects

Zhongke Electric has recently decided to terminate three previously announced lithium battery anode material projects: the 130,000tpy integrated anode material project in Ganzhou Industrial Park (planned in 2022 and subsequently placed on hold), the 100,000tpy integrated anode material project in Lanzhou New Area (also planned in 2022 and put on hold), and the 100,000tpy integrated anode material project in Morocco (planned in 2024 and later suspended).
All three projects were already in a state of suspension, with only preliminary preparatory work completed. No substantial construction or operations had been initiated. Given the limited scale of upfront investment and the fact that relevant construction-in-progress expenses had already been fully impaired in prior years, the termination will not materially affect the company's current financial position or operating results.
The decision to scrap these projects is driven by the need to align with industry trends toward large-scale, intensive development, eliminate uncertainties surrounding existing planned projects, and optimize resource allocation. Going forward, Zhongke Electric will focus its efforts on advancing the 300,000tpy integrated anode material project in Luzhou and the overseas integrated anode material base project in Oman.
