The environmental impact assessment for Phase I of Hunan Zhongbang Renewable Resources Technology Co., Ltd.'s waste power battery recycling and resource utilization project has been publicly announced.
The project will build one production line for crushing and pyrolyzing spent lithium batteries and separators. It will utilize existing facilities such as rotary kilns and cooling kilns from the current ceramsite production line, and add new equipment including fine crushers, separators and vibrating screens.
The line is designed to process 10,000 tons of waste lithium batteries and separators annually, producing 4,100 tons of lithium battery black powder and 2,590 tons of copper-aluminum materials. Initially, these products will be collected by Hunan Brunp Recycling. In the later stage, the company will conduct in-depth processing independently to manufacture high-value products including battery-grade lithium carbonate and anode graphite.
