Ronbay Technology to invest in LFP precursor and cathode material projects

Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced plans to invest approximately RMB4.3 billion (USD630 million) to build new capacity for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) precursors and cathode materials.
The projects will utilize existing plants and supporting facilities of Guizhou Xinren New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., as well as available facilities at the former Lifan site in Bijie High-tech Industrial Development Zone, adding capacities of 520,000tpa of wet-process LFP precursor (Liuzhi project) and 340,000tpa pyrometallurgical LFP cathode material (Bijie project), with estimated investments of RMB2.01 billion (USD294 million) and RMB2.29 billion (USD336 million), respectively.
The projects will further scale up the company's LFP production capabilities and better meet anticipated customer demand.
