China's MIIT releases first batch of compliant steel producers

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has published the first lists of steel enterprises meeting the Steel Industry Standard Conditions (2025 Edition), following procedures including local-level review, expert evaluation, and public disclosure.

The announcement forms part of broader efforts to drive high-quality, standards-based development across the steel sector. The lists includes 34 "leading standard-compliant" steel enterprises and 197 "standard-compliant" enterprises.
