Youngy to invest in 50ktpa high-performance anode materials project

Youngy Co.,Ltd. announced plans to invest in a high-performance lithium-ion battery anode materials project through its wholly- owned subsidiary, Lanzhou Rongjie Material Technology Co., Ltd., to be located in Lanzhou New Area.
The project will have a designed capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year, with total fixed-asset investment estimated at RMB1.1 billion (USD160 million).
According to industry data, China's anode materials shipments reached 2.9 million tonnes in 2025, representing a 39% year-on-year increase, with synthetic graphite accounting for 2.67 million tonnes. High-end synthetic graphite products typically require ultra-high-temperature modification processes, where capacity remains relatively constrained.The company noted that the project is well aligned with the current supply gap in the high-end anode materials market.
