Baogang United Steel Co., Ltd. has completed the first bulk delivery of its independently developed rare earth new material pipes for energy applications, marking a key milestone in the company's advanced materials portfolio.
Developed by Baogang's Steel Pipe Branch, the products have been deployed in downhole operations at a major oilfield in China. The pipes feature strong resistance to both carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) corrosion, significantly reducing the risk of corrosion-related perforation and stress cracking.
Baogang has built a comprehensive rare earth microalloyed steel portfolio spanning five major product series, 67 varieties, and 302 grades. In 2025, the company's output of rare earth steel surpassed 1.65 million tonnes.
