Yecheng Tianyi Mining Co., Ltd. plans to build a polymetallic ore flotation project in Yecheng County Industrial Park in Xinjiang, designed to process 1 million tones per year of polymetallic ore, including lithium, lead, zinc, and silver, according to the environmental impact assessment (EIA) released by local authorities for public review.
Total planned investment for the project is RMB200 million (USD28.88 million), of which RMB5.38 million (USD0.8 million) is for environmental protection, accounting for 2.69% of the total. This EIA specifically covers the Phase I lithium beneficiation facility.
The Phase I project will process 412,5000 tonnes of spodumene raw ore and 412,500 tonnes of externally sourced lithium heavy-medium concentrate annually. Once fully operational, it will produce 154,300 tonnes per year of lithium concentrate, which will be directly supplied to downstream smelters. Raw materials are clearly sourced, with lithium ore from the Huoshaoyun–Dahongliutatan lead-zinc-lithium resources base and heavy-medium concentrate supplied by Xinjiang Kunlun Blue Diamond Mining Development Co., Ltd.
