Yongtai Technology to build 200ktpa lithium battery electrolyte project

Zhejiang Yongtai Technology Co., Ltd. plans to invest RMB500 million (USD72.51 million) in a new lithium battery electrolyte project with annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes at the Binhai Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu. The project is scheduled for completion within 12 months and will cover R&D, production and sales of lithium battery electrolytes.
To streamline its capacity layout, the company will also cancel a previously planned 200,000tpa electrolyte and materials recycling project by its Shaowu-based subsidiary, citing sufficient existing and planned capacity to meet market demand.
