On February 9, Zijin Mining announced its three-year plan (2026–2028) and 2035 long-term vision, targeting a top-three global ranking in copper and gold output by 2028. The company also aims to further enhance its resource base, mineral output and sales revenue, and to develop into a green, high-tech, world-class international mining group by 2035.
In 2025, Zijin Mining produced 1.09 million tonnes of mined copper, 400,000 tonnes of mined zinc (lead), 25,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE), and 11,000 tonnes of mined molybdenum, with mined production rising steadily.
Looking ahead, production of major minerals is set to rise sharply over the next three years. By 2028, the company expects mined gold output of 130-140 tonnes (up 44%-56% from 2025), mined copper of 1.5-1.6 million tonnes (up 38%-47%), mined silver of 600-700 tonnes (up 37%-60%), mined zinc (lead) of 400,000-450,000 tonnes (up 12.5%), LCE of 270,000-320,000 tonnes (up 980%-1,180%), and mined molybdenum of 25,000-35,000 tonnes (up 127%-218%). The company is also poised to become one of the world's largest producers of lithium and molybdenum.
