Snowsky Salt to acquire 41% stake in Meite New Materials

Snowsky Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. plans to acquire a 41% stake in Hunan Meite New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. from Hunan Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. for RMB261 million (USD36.96 million). Once completed, Snowsky Salt will hold a 61% stake in Meite New Materials, becoming its controlling shareholder.
Meite New Materials specializes in the production and sales of lithium cobalt oxide (LCO) and operates production lines with a designed capacity of 7,500 tonnes and an approved capacity of 5,500 tonnes. Its main products include LCO, ternary cathode materials, and sodium-ion cathode materials, which are primarily used in the manufacturing of new-energy battery products.
