Northern Gold Dragon gets approval to build rare earth separation project

Northern Gold Dragon (Baotou) Rare Earth Co., Ltd. has received approval from the Inner Mongolia Department of Industry and Information Technology to build a rare earth separation project with an annual capacity of 5,000 tonnes of REO, mainly including lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, samarium oxide, europium oxide, gadolinium oxide, terbium oxide, dysprosium oxide, holmium oxide, erbium oxide, thulium oxide, lutetium oxide, and yttrium oxide.
The project involves capacity replacement and does not add any additional capacity quota. With a total investment of about RMB470 million (USD65.95 million), fully funded by the company, the project is expected to take 21 months to complete.
