CATL signs RMB1.5 billion prepayment deal to secure LFP supply

Recently, Jiangxi Shenghua New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Fulin Precision Co., Ltd., reached an advanced payment agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL). Under the deal, CATL will pay a total of RMB1.5 billion (USD211 million) to Jiangxi Shenghua, including RMB500 million (USD70.28 million) in September and RMB1 billion (USD141 million) in November, to lock in the committed supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and support Jiangxi Shenghua's expansion of its raw material production capacity.
