De'a Lithium produces first battery-grade lithium carbonate

Sichuan Energy Investment De'a Lithium Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sichuan New Energy Power Co., Ltd., recently produced the first batch of battery-grade lithium carbonate from its 30,000tpa lithium salts project in the Deyang-Aba Eco-Industrial Park. Covering 288Mu (19.2 hectares), the project is designed to produce 15,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate and 15,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide annually, with an estimated output value of RMB2.4 billion (USD336 million), and is expected to create over 1,000 local jobs.
Once fully operational, the project will integrate with the nearby Lijiagou lithium mine, bolstering cost advantages for the company. Leveraging upstream lithium resources and downstream customers such as EVE Energy and SVOLT, the company has built a "mine-to-salts" value chain, boosting profitability prospects in its lithium business.
