Qinghai Huixin's lithium carbonate project delivers qualified product

Qinghai Huixin New Material Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Salt Lake Industry, has completed the first trial production run at its 20,000 tonnes-per-annum lithium carbonate project, producing qualified lithium carbonate. The plant is now operating steadily, with a daily output of around 15 tonnes of product meeting the GB/T 23853 standard.
The project involves a total investment of RMB2.29 billion (USD320 million). Construction began in June 2024, with key milestones including the commissioning of brine supply and discharge facilities on June 2, 2025, the start of trial production on June 10, and full-line operation with product output achieved on June 17, more than 10 days ahead of schedule. The project accounts for 17% of China Salt Lake's current lithium carbonate capacity.
