Jiangxi Xiangnan obtains EIA approval for lithium carbonate project

Jiangxi Xiangnan New Energy Co., Ltd. has received the environmental impact assessment (EIA) approval for its 15,000-tonne-per-annum lithium carbonate project from the Administrative Approval Bureau of Ganzhou City.
The project will be located in Xinhua Industrial Area, Dayu Industrial Park, Jiangxi Province, with a total investment of RMB2.1 billion (USD293 million), including RMB90 million (USD12.54 million) for equipment and RMB25 million (USD3.48 million) for environmental protection.
The project's main product is battery-grade lithium carbonate with an annual production capacity of 15,000 tonnes, accompanied by 73,483.25 tonnes of sodium sulfate as a by-product.
