Chongqing Iron & Steel acquires key production assets

On June 16, Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to purchase key production assets from Chongqing Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. for approximately RMB1.08 billion (USD151 million). The deal includes steelmaking facilities and production lines for 4100mm wide plate, 2700mm plate, wire rod, rebar, and structural steel. Payment will be made in installments.
Chongqing Iron & Steel is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and sales of medium and heavy plates, structural steel, and wire rods. The acquired assets are vital to the company's operations and align with national industrial and capacity policies. The deal will help ensure stable operations, optimize product mix, and support the company's high-quality development.
