Jianli Chemical begins first phase of LiPF6 project

Zhejiang Jianli Chemical Co., Ltd. has commenced phase I production at its lithium hexafluorophosphate project, with an annual capacity of 2,000 tonnes. The 40,000-square-meter plant will produce key electrolyte materials for lithium-ion batteries.
Phase I is part of a larger investment plan totaling RMB5.18 billion (USD721 million), which includes production capacities of 20,000 tonnes-per-annum (tpa) of lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), 5,000tpa of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiFSI), 2,000tpa of ethylene carbonate, and 50,000tpa of lithium battery electrolyte, along with by-products such as industrial hydrochloric acid and sodium sulfite. Phase II will cover the remaining production lines.
