Dazhong Mining reports higher annual output of iron ore concentrate and pellet

In 2024, Dazhong Mining produced about 3.77 million tonnes of iron ore concentrate, up slightly by 0.1% from the prior year, and 1.05 million tonnes of iron ore pellet, surging by 132.5% YoY as its pellet plants in Inner Mongolia resumed normal operation, according to the company's annual report.
During the reporting period, the company completed reserve filings for the Zhouyoufang and Zhongxinji iron mines in Anhui, adding 161.3 million tonnes and 13.13 million tonnes of iron ore resources respectively, laying a solid foundation for future production expansion.
Currently, Dazhong Mining's on-record iron ore resources have increased to 690 million tonnes. Its approved mining and processing capacity stands at approximately 14.8 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with a designed capacity for iron concentrate of around 6.4Mtpa, reinforcing its leading position among independent iron mining and processing enterprises. Additionally, the company holds 70.85 million tonnes of pyrite resources, with an raw ore mining capacity of 1.5Mtpa.
Furthermore, the Jijiaoshan lithium mine's Tongtianmiao section in Hunan has been approved and registered by the Ministry of Natural Resources, with lithium resources totaling 489.87 million tonnes, amounting to 3.24 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent. This places it among the biggest lithium resources in China.
