Brunp Contemporary breaks ground on 450ktpa LFP project

On April 3, Yichang Brunp Contemporary New Energy Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 450,000tpa next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) project in Yichang High-Tech Zone.
Earlier this year, the company invested an additional 5.6 billion yuan (764 million US dollars) in the project, which was signed this January and is set to start production in December. It will use advanced fourth-generation LFP technology, with three workshops each designed for a capacity of 150,000 tonnes per annum, using iron phosphate and lithium carbonate as main raw materials.
The project will complete critical steps in the LFP material manufacturing process and help establish a closed-loop cycle of resources, materials, and recycling within the company production site in Yichang.
