EIA released for Brunp Contemporary's 450ktpa LFP project

On February 26, the environmental impact assessments (EIA) for a 450,000tpa LFP project was released for the first time for public disclosure by Yichang Ecological environment Bureau.
The project is developed by Yichang Brunp Contemporary New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL).
According to the EIA, the company plans to invest RMB5.6 billion (USD768 million) in the project, which has a planned land area of 400Mu (26.67 hectares) and a floor area of 195,000 sq.m., where it will build production line, warehouse and air separation facility. When completed, the project will have a production capacity of 450,000tpa of the 4th generation of LFP product.
