Xiangtan Electrochemical commissions spinel LMO production line

Xiangtan Electrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. announced that the first phase of its spinel lithium manganese oxide cathode material project, with a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes per annum, has entered the commissioning stage, following the completion of main construction in Heling, Xiangtan.
In 2023, Xiangtan Electrochemical launched the 30,000tpa spinel lithium manganese oxide cathode material project, which is implemented by Xiangtan Lijin New Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangxi Lijin New Material Co., Ltd., a majority-owned subsidiary of Xiangtan Electrochemical.
The new production lines of the project have a relatively high suitability for spinel lithium manganese oxide. When the first phase becomes fully operational, Xiangtan Electrochemical will have a total LMO production capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum, which will come on stream gradually subject to market demand and conditions.
