PTL to call off Li-ion anode project in Sweden

On December 18, Shanghai Putailai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (PTL) was informed by the Inspectorate of Strategic Products of Sweden that its planned investment for a 100,000tpa Li-ion anode project in Sweden has been rejected as the company is unable to fully agree with conditions under the Swedish Foreign Direct Investment Act. Therefore, the company plans to call off the above-mentioned lithium battery anode project.
PTL has existing anode material production capacity of 150,000tpa at production bases in Jiangxi, Liyang and Inner Mongolia, with 280,000tpa under construction in Sichuan. The company has enough production capacity to meet demand from clients at home and abroad.
