On December 16, Bougouni lithium mining project, invested by Hainan Mining, started hot commissioning of its dressing plant in Mali, Africa. The project is expected to commence production in early 2025.
The JORC 2023 mineral resources estimate (MRE) for Bougouni mine was 31.9 million tonnes at 1.06% Li2O, which represented an increase of 40% versus the 2019 MRE.
