Ganfeng Lithium begins phase one production at African lithium mine

On December 15, Goulamina spodumene project located in Mali, Africa commenced the first phase of production with an annual capacity of 506,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate.
The project is owned by GFL International Co., Ltd . , a subsidiary of Ganfeng Lithium . The company plans to expand Goulamina's lithium concentrate production capacity to 1 million tonnes per annum in the second phase.
Goulamina is one of the largest lithium mines in Africa and has a mining area of around 100 sq.km, with mineral resources discovered to date totaling nearly 211 million tonnes, amounting to 7 . 14 million tonnes of LCE, at an average grade of 1 . 37% LiO2.
