Wanrun New Material to build LFP plant in U.S.

Hubei Wanrun New Material Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hubei WanRun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest about USD168 million to set up Wrestore Technology LLC in Delaware U.S., through its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiaries, for the development of a cathode materials production and R&D project.
The project has a designed production capacity of 50,000tpa of lithium iron phosphate (LFP), including 9,000tpa for the first phase. Construction of the project would take around 30 months to complete, with full production scheduled to begin in 2028.
