Chengxin Lithium's Indonesia lithium project starts trial operation

On June 11, the 60,000tpa lithium salt project built by ChengTok Lithium Indonesia, a subsidiary of Chengxin Lithium, entered the commissioning phase after feedstocks were being fed into the rotary kiln.
Located in the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), the project is the first overseas lithium salt production base developed by Chengxin Lithium and uses method for extracting lithium from ore, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of lithium salt, the biggest of its kind outside China. When fully operational, the project will bring Chengxin Lithium's total lithium salt production capacity to 137,000tpa, and help create nearly 1,400 local jobs in Indonesia.
