Jiangxi rolls out measures to promote major lithium battery materials projects

China's Jiangxi province has rolled out a series of measures in an effort to promote the high-quality development of lithium battery industry chain. The lithium-rich province will continue to expand the industry chain and leverage its advantages in upstream lithium resources, anode materials, diaphragm and electrolyte. More projects for cathode materials, power batteries and energy storage batteries will be developed, along with the introduction of industry chain of new batteries such as solid state battery. In addition, key base materials projects will receive government subsidy of up to 10 million yuan (1.38 million US dollars). The province will also set up a mechanism for promoting lithium-related projects. Major projects with total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan (138 million US dollars) and more than 500 million yuan (69.19 million US dollars) spent in fixed assets will be directly advanced by provincial departments, and other projects will be promoted by municipal and county-level departments.
