BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Apr 24 – Most buyers purchase regularly amid stable demand, most sellers keep prices firm at the moment. The current mainstream prices of chrome metal 99%min in Europe stand at USD8,700-8,900/t CIF Europe, stable from early last month. Insiders predict that the mainstream prices of chrome metal in Europe would keep stable in the coming week considering that most suppliers have no intention to adjust prices.
A trader in Switzerland notes that the quotation for chrome metal 99%min they received early last week stood at USD9,000/t CIF Switzerland, while they could purchase at USD8,900/t for firm bids according to their experiences, stable from early last month. "We last purchased about 25t at USD8,900/t in early April", said the trader, who predicts that the mainstream prices of chrome metal in Europe would keep stable in the coming week considering that most suppliers keep prices stable.
The trader, with a regular monthly sales volume of about 60t of chrome metal, would sell about 60t in April, almost stable from last month. They hold no stocks at the moment.
"We could purchase chrome metal 99%min at prices no higher than USD8,700/t CIF Switzerland this week, stable from early last month", another trader in Switzerland disclosed. They last purchase about 50t at USD8,700/t from China in early March. Given that most suppliers have no intention to adjust prices, they anticipate that the mainstream prices of chrome metal in Europe would keep stable in the week to come.
