Construction kicks off for 100ktpa LMFP project in Huocheng

On April 15, Xinjiang Jiuchen New Material Technology Co., Ltd. broke ground on its 100,000tpa LMFP cathode material project at the new material industrial park in Huocheng, Xinjiang.
The first phase of the project will build two LMFP production lines which are scheduled to come on stream by the end of the year. The second phase includes two LMFP production lines and two precursor production lines, which are planned to become operationally in 2025.
The project, with a land area of 308Mu (20.53 hectares) and floor area of 150,000 square meters, will mainly produce cathode material for NEV battery, and a new battery plant will be built in the second phase. With a total investment of RMB4 billion (USD553 million), the project is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of RMB15 billion (USD2.07 billion) and help create 400 to 600 jobs.
