Chinese PrNd oxide traders bullish on prices

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 24 - Due to bulk acquisitions by large separation plants, mainstream prices for Chinese PrNd oxide stood at RMB370,000-375,000/t (USD51,156-51,847/t) D/P today, up by RMB2,000/t (USD277/t) from yesterday. As suppliers hold back from selling, insiders reckoned that prices for Chinese PrNd oxide would increase slightly in the coming week.
A trader in Jiangxi revealed that he offered RMB377,000/t (USD52,124/t) D/P for PrNd oxide today and sold 4t at RMB376,000/t (USD51,985/t). "I sold 5t yesterday at RMB370,000/t (USD51,156/t) D/P. I still have some inventories and I should be able to sell at a better price in the near future," the trader said, adding that he has confidence in Chinese PrNd oxide prices in the following days.
With a regular monthly trade volume of 200t, the trader sold about 200t last month.
Another trader in Jiangxi indicated that today his regular psychological offer of PrNd oxide was RMB377,000/t (USD52,124/t) D/P, while his offer yesterday was RMB372,000/t (USD51,432/t) D/P, but no deals were closed. "The cost of the batch of PrNd oxide in my hand is not less than RMB368,000/t (USD50,879/t)," the trader said, adding that the price of PrNd oxide is rising now, so they are not in a hurry to empty stocks. He predicted that prices for Chinese PrNd oxide would still have some upward space in the coming days.
