Sinomine has provided an upgraded mineral resources estimate at its Bikita lithium mine in Zimbabwe.
As of December 31, 2023, the western and eastern part of Bikita mine had lithium resource (Measured+Indicated+Inferred) of 113.352 million tonnes, containing 1 . 17 million tonnes of lithium oxide at 1 . 03% Li2O (2 . 88 million tonnes of LCE), an increase of 47 . 93 million tonnes (1 . 05 million tonnes of LCE) from the previous estimate upgrade . The latest estimate does not include resources that are already exploited.
This is the third resource increase for Bikita mine announced by Sinomine after acquiring the lithium mine in 2022, which further boosts confidence in a stable and sustainable supply of lithium ore for Sinomine's lithium battery materials business.
