BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 24 - Following with stable PrNd mischmetal prices, Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) suppliers held prices steady over the past week. Therefore, the current Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices hover at RMB103-108/kg (USD14.2-14.9/kg) EXW T/T 60 days, without much change from one week ago. Given that suppliers still have no intention to mark down prices, insiders forecasted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices would continue standing at current levels in the coming week.
A producer in South China revealed that he held rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block) quotation firm at about RMB110/kg (USD15.2/kg) EXW T/T 60 days this Thursday and considers selling at around RMB107/kg (USD14.8/kg) and RMB105/kg (USD14.5/kg) for orders no less than 500kg and one ton at present, without much change from one week ago. He last sold 500kg at around RMB107/kg (USD14.8/kg) early this week. "I couldn't purchase PrNd mischmetal at prices lower than RMB432,000/t (USD59,761/t) EXW T/T 30 days now, the same as one week ago, so I have no intention to lower rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block) prices," said the producer, who predicted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices would continue staying at current levels in the upcoming week.
The producer, on basis of an annual production capacity of 120t of rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block), expected to produce around 10t in March, an increase of about three tons MoM. He consumed approximately 70t and 25t respectively in 2023 and so far in 2024. He doesn't have stock at present, unchanged MoM.
A consumer in Zhejiang province disclosed that his regular Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block) suppliers still quoted about RMB112/kg (USD15.5/kg) EXW T/T 60 days for him today. Based on his experience, he could buy at around RMB107/kg (USD14.8/kg) at present, in line with one week ago. "I last bought one ton at around RMB107/kg (USD14.8/kg) the day before yesterday," said the consumer, who couldn't bargain for cheaper prices from regular suppliers and predicted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices would still hover at current levels in the coming week.
