BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 24 - Following with dropping PrNd mischmetal prices, Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) suppliers lowered prices over the past week. Therefore, the current Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices slid to RMB108-113/kg (USD15.0-15.7/kg) EXW T/T 60 days, down by around RMB3/kg (USD0.4/kg) from one week ago. Given that the Chinese PrNd mischmetal suppliers still show downtrend, insiders forecasted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices still have room to go down in the forthcoming week.
A consumer in Guangdong province revealed that his regular rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) suppliers lowered quotation to about RMB113/kg (USD15.7/kg) EXW T/T 60 days for him today. Based on his experience, he could buy at around RMB112/kg (USD15.6/kg) now, while he couldn't replenish stocks at prices below RMB115/kg (USD16.0/kg) one week ago, when he last bought 500kg at around RMB115/kg (USD16.0/kg). "In view of downward PrNd mischmetal prices, I forecasted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block) mainstream prices still have room to drop in the coming week," said the consumer.
With an annual consumption capacity of 120t of rough sintered NdFeB magnet N35 (block), the consumer's consumption volumes in 2023 and so far in 2024 recorded approximately 14t and one and a half tons respectively. He expected to use around three tons in March, up by around one and a half tons MoM. He holds an inventory of around three tons at the moment, up by two tons MoM.

According to his experience, he could replenish stocks at around RMB108/kg (USD15.0/kg) now, while he couldn't purchase at prices below RMB115/kg (USD16.0/kg) one week ago. He last bought 500kg at around RMB108/kg (USD15.0/kg) two days ago. "I enquired that current PrNd mischmetal prices already dropped to around RMB435,000/t (USD60,435/t) EXW T/T 30 days, compared with about RMB445,000/t (USD61,825/t) one week ago," said the consumer.
