Zhejiang Tiantie to build graphite anode material project

Zhejiang Tiantie Industry Co., Ltd. has received board approval to sign an investment agreement with the management committee of Lujiang High Tech Industrial Development Zone in Hefei, Anhui. The company plans to build a 100,000tpa modified graphite anode material project at Lujiang High Tech Industrial Development Zone, with a total investment of around RMB1.45 billion (USD202 million).
The project is expected to break ground before late June 2024 and complete construction by late June 2026. When fully operational, it is expected to achieve an annual production value of RMB2.5 billion (USD348 million) and generate tax revenue of around RMB100 million (USD13.91 million).
The company said the project would further expand its strategic presence in the lithium battery market as graphite anode material remains the mainstream of lithium battery anode materials.
