Ganfeng Lithium to acquire additional stake in Mali Lithium

GFL International Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ganfeng Lithium, plans to acquire an additional equity interest of up to 5% in Mali Lithium from Leo Lithium for no more than USD65 million. Upon completion, GFL International will hold a 60% stake in Mali Lithium and indirectly get a 60% interest in Goulamina spodumene project in Africa, further ensuring lithium supply to Ganfeng Lithium.
The total JORC resource estimate at Goulamina project is about 211 million tonnes at 1.37% Li2O, containing 2.89 million tonnes of lithium oxide, and the measured resource is around 13.1 million tonnes at 1.59% Li2O, containing 210,000 tonnes of lithium oxide.
Goulamina project has a phase one spodumene concentrate production capacity of 506,000 tonnes per annum, which is under construction currently and expected to come on stream in 2024.
