Tsingtuo Group breaks ground on 3500mm stainless steel plate project

On January 12, Tsingtuo Group began construction of its special stainless steel medium-thick plate project at Wanwu peninsula in Fu'an. With a total investment of RMB2 billion (USD278 million), the project will build the first 1Mtpa 3500mm stainless steel plate rolling production line in China, which is expected to further extend the stainless steel new material industrial chain.
The project adopts the world's first production process that integrates hot rolling, hot charging, hot annealing, on-line finishing and surface treatment, and it can fill the gap in thin and wide steel plate produced by rolling mill and meet the needs of special industries and users. When fully operational, the project would generate an annual production value of RMB15 billion (USD2.09 billion) and create more than 800 jobs.
