Yongtai Technology and CATL sign electrolyte offtake agreement

On January 9, Zhejiang Yongtai Technology Co., Ltd. entered into a two-year supplemental offtake agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) which would purchase no less than 100,000 tonnes per annum of different types of electrolyte from Yongtai Technology in 2024 and 2025.
On July 31, 2021, Yongtai Technology and CATL reached an agreement on the purchase and sale of battery raw materials including lithium hexafluorophosphate (LPF6), Lithium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LIFSI) and vinylene carbonate (VC). After signing the agreement, Yongtai Technology further grew its lithium battery materials business which integrated lithium salts, additive and electrolyte.
Under the supplemental offtake agreement, Yongtai Technology will mainly supply electrolyte to CATL instead of raw materials, as it seeks to boost competitiveness and increase market share in the electrolyte materials industry.
