Gotion High-Tech to invest in Michigan cathode and anode materials project

China's Gotion High-Tech plans to build a lithium battery cathode and anode materials project in Green Charter Township, Michigan, U.S. and has commissioned its U.S. wholly-owned subsidiary Gotion, Inc. to sign relevant agreements with the state government and third party partners.
With a planned land area of about 1.12 square kilometers, the project is scheduled to complete construction by the end of the 2031. Gotion has signed the land usage agreement for the project and the total investment from Gotion and third party investors is estimated at USD2.36 billion. The project is expected to improve North America's lithium battery industrial chain and meet local demand for battery raw materials.
