Northern Rare Earth announces Q3 production and sales results

China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. produced 3,998.15t of rare earth oxides, 34,344.85t of rare earth salts, and 7,406.26t of rare earth metals in the third quarter of 2023, up by 17.66%, 47.90% and 26.32% year on year respectively. The Q3 production of magnetic materials, polishing materials and hydrogen storage materials was 13,501.66t, 7,425.44t and 519.60t respectively, up by 64.16%, 26.03% and 25.22% from the year-ago period.
In the first three quarters, the company produced 13,422.98t of rare earth oxides, up by 38.06%, 95,240.18t of rare earth salts, up by 33.65%, 20,551.37t of rare earth metals, up by 20.96%, 34,543.82t of magnetic materials, up by 28.23%, 18,278.02t of polishing materials, down by 12.03%, and 1,421.26t of hydrogen storage materials, up by 20.79%, all on a year over year basis.
In the third quarter, the company sold 6,824.12t of rare earth oxides, 25,069.40t of rare earth salts, and 7,925.87t of rare earth metals, up by 63.45%, 125.73% and 51.63% year on year respectively. The company reported Q3 sales of 13,833.05t of magnetic materials, up by 63.43% YoY, 7,767.51t of polishing materials, down by 16.28% YoY and 622.03t of hydrogen storage materials, up by 47.21% YoY.
From Q1 to Q3, the company sold 17,097.23t of rare earth oxides, down by 12.66%, 61,496.40t of rare earth salts, up by 35.02%, 21,628.91t of rare earth metals, up by 31.69%, 34,752.86t of magnetic materials, up by 30.02%, 18,891.59t of polishing materials, down by 10.54%, and 1,432.43t of hydrogen storage materials, up by 4.81%, all on a year over year basis.
