On September 19, Shenzhen Wolunte New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. held the signing ceremony for its battery cathode materials project in Anyang, Henan. With a total investment of RMB1.06 billion (USD145 million), the project is scheduled to break ground at Long'an Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone and cover a land area of 20 hectares. Construction includes a cathode materials production base with an annual capacity of 30,000t of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and sodium-ion battery cathode material.
Phase one of the project, covering 8 hectares, will build a 10,000tpa LFP production line and is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of RMB950 million (USD130 million), along with tax revenue of RMB88 million (USD12.05 million) when reaching full capacity.
